A LITTLE ABOUT US

We love what we do so much, that we work for free.

Apps

Pitch Analyzer and Hit Analyzer are free baseball mobile apps that provide you with all the metrics you care about.

Architecture

At the core of our apps live state of the art computer vision algorithms that calculate all the metrics we provide to you.

Passion

We truly enjoy what we do. Each of our team members works for PA outside of their full time job. We wouldn't do that unless we really enjoyed working on this.

Future

We are always looking to improve our apps. However, our real end goal is to bring professional style, affordable in-game analytics to everyone.

Supported Devices and Resolutions

App Platform Resolution Frame Rate iPhone 6/6s iPhone 7/7 Plus iPhone 8/8 Plus iPhone X iPad Pro
Pitch Analyzer iOS 1080p, 4K 60 FPS and up
Hit Analyzer iOS 720p, 1080p 120 FPS and up

How To Record Videos

Pitch Analyzer

1. Open your camera app on your device or the camera inside the app.

2. Make sure your resolution is 1080p or 4K. 1080p will result in faster analysis.

3. Make sure your frame rate is 60 FPS or higher.

4. Find an area with a dark, still background, and use a clean ball. We need good contrast between the ball and the background to be able to reliably track the ball.

5. Stand behind the pitcher, or behind the catcher (or use a tripod). If behind catcher stand behind a screen. At the moment you must record from behind the catcher to use the strike zone feature.

6. Turn your device side ways, also known as landscape.

7. Hold your device as still as possible, or use a tripod.

8. Record 1 pitch and stop recording.

9. Each pitch needs to be recorded as its own video.

10. Import your videos into the app and analyze then. If you record in app the videos will be automatically imported after they are recorded.

Hit Analyzer

1. Open your camera app on your device or the camera inside the app.

2. Make sure your resolution is 720p or 1080p. 720p will result in faster analysis, but 1080p might result in more accurate metrics.

3. Make sure your frame rate is 120 FPS or higher.

4. Find an area with a dark, still background, and use a clean ball. We need good contrast between the ball and the background to be able to reliably track the ball.

5. Walk off ~10 FT from Home Plate to the left handed/right handed batter's box, then ~5 FT toward the pitcher's mound. Do not put yourself in harms way, use a tripod or stand behind the hitter.

6. Turn your device side ways, also known as landscape.

7. Align the camera so the hitter is close to the back edge of the screen.

8. Hold your device as still as possible, or use a tripod.

9. Record 1 hit and stop recording.

10. Each hit needs to be recorded as its own video.

11. Import your videos into the app and analyze then. If you record in app the videos will be automatically imported after they are recorded.
